Beautiful maternity and nursing bras for breastfeeding and pregnancy.

Bumps, Birth and Breastfeeding!

The majority of Mums start by breastfeeding, however like learning any new skill it does take practise! Support from friends and family is crucial, especially in the early days. Dads can help by looking after all the other aspects of the home (eg housework and food), allowing Mum to relax and get breastfeeding off to a good start.

Finding out more about breastfeeding whilst pregnant is also useful and most hospitals offer breastfeeding classes as does the National Childbirth Trust. There are also many breastfeeding support groups around the country, some run by health professionals, others by breastfeeding mums. These offer practical advice as well as the chance to socialise with other Mums and share tips. For more information on local breastfeeding support groups please visit www.boobifulbabies.org.uk.
Links to national organisations and helpline numbers can also be found here.

The benefits of breastfeeding for both mum and baby are not just measured in health terms, but in the pride a mum feels when she looks at her healthy, growing breastfed baby. Just one day of breastfeeding makes a difference to a baby's health by stabilising their blood sugars, protecting their gut and providing natural antibodies against disease. (source:NCT)
